Considering the integrity of the 'everyday' is to see the beauty of things.
Contemplation of things modest + humble + the belief that true beauty comes from the imperfect, impermanent + incomplete informs the direction of my work + is key to my creative process.
I use low tech methods + minimal elements to develop simple objects that explore negative space + the interplay between light and shadows.
My interest in light industrial design gives me the opportunity to explore function, form + simplicity.
I was born in the Adelaide Hills, live on the Fleurieu coast + led a lot of life before studying a Visual Arts and Design degree at Adelaide College of the Arts + an Honours degree in Creative Arts (visual) at Flinders University.
